Congratulations to one of our favorite local artists, Todd V & friends for winning the Akron Film Festival’s “The NEW History of Akron”. Todd V and Christopher “Blue” Green made a great “mockumentary” titled “BLIMP…Our Blemished Past”. The film stars WE Gallery’s Erin Ludlam and others telling a different version of the blimp’s history in Akron. Check out the mockumentary:

Congratulations to the University of Akron Men’s Soccer team! Tomorrow they are headed to the College Cup Finals against Virginia, after a huge victory against North Carolina last night. The team is 25-0-0 this season, the #1 team in the country! The last time UA was this good, they went to the ‘86 College Cup Finals, only to lose to Duke University.
Forget “football” tomorrow and watch “real” football tomorrow on ESPN 2 to cheer our hometown boys on! If they win, that’s more attention for Akron & the University! Maybe even Beckham will learn to FEAR the ROO!
